Electronics Testing and Validation in Kenya
A repair is only complete when the equipment is shown to work. Sinsal tests repaired boards under realistic operating conditions before they go back, and offers testing as a standalone service for equipment whose condition is uncertain.

Service Overview
Testing answers two different questions. After a repair it confirms the original fault is gone and nothing else was disturbed. Before a repair or purchase of used equipment it establishes the actual condition of a board or unit, which is useful for refurbishment programmes and for checking stock before it goes into service.
Test depth depends on what is being tested. Where a test fixture or the host equipment is available, the board is exercised in its normal role. Where it is not, representative bench tests of rails, signals, interfaces and thermal behaviour are used and their limits are stated in the report.
Equipment We Work On
- Repaired networking mainboards and power modules
- Industrial controller and drive boards
- Used or refurbished IT equipment before redeployment
- Power supplies and DC converters
- Medical equipment boards (electrical function only)
- Boards returned from field use with an unclear fault history
Typical Failures
- A repaired board that works cold but fails once warm
- Marginal rails that pass a quick check but sag under load
- Interfaces that link up but drop packets or lose communication
- Intermittent faults that only show over a longer run
- Used boards whose condition is unknown
Diagnostic Process
- 01Define what the board must do and what a pass looks like
- 02Visual inspection and baseline power-up readings
- 03Rail, signal and interface measurements against expected values
- 04Thermal imaging while the board runs
- 05Functional test in the host equipment or a representative setup
Repair Process
- 01If testing exposes a fault, it is documented and routed to diagnostics and repair
- 02Re-test after any corrective work, repeating the measurements that failed
Testing and Validation
- Documented pass or fail against each test performed
- Soak run to expose faults that appear only after the board heats up
- Re-check after the board has cooled and been powered up again
- Test limits stated in the record, so it is clear what was and was not verified
What You May Receive
Test results, Pass or fail record, Recommendations where a fault is found.
Warranty
Completed repairs are accompanied by warranty documentation. The cover, its term and its exclusions are written on the warranty document issued with the job, so they are agreed in writing for your equipment rather than assumed. Warranty applies to the repaired fault and the work carried out, not to unrelated failures elsewhere in the equipment.
Important Limitation
Testing confirms electrical and functional behaviour only. It does not provide calibration, regulatory certification, clinical release or functional-safety approval.
Common Questions
Do you test equipment you did not repair?
Yes. Testing can be requested on its own, for example to establish the condition of used or returned equipment before it goes back into service.
Is this calibration or certification?
No. Sinsal tests electrical and functional behaviour. It does not issue calibration or regulatory certificates, and clinical or safety release remains the responsibility of the equipment owner.
Why does post-repair testing matter?
Many faults only appear once a board is warm or under load. A soak and load test shows whether a repair holds before the equipment is relied on again.
Need Equipment Tested Before It Goes Back Into Service?
Describe the equipment and the fault. Sinsal will confirm whether it is a fit for diagnostics and repair before any work begins.
